The WhiteFox Eclipse is a good mechanical keyboard, but more than that, it has a pedigree that stands the test of time. Mechanical keyboards experienced a renaissance about ten years ago, shortly after patents on Cherry's acclaimed key switches expired. One of the most notable keyboard projects from that era was the WhiteFox, which was offered in limited quantities by Drop (née Massdrop). This iconic keyboard is now back as the WhiteFox Eclipse, and the developer has big plans for it.

That original WhiteFox was one of the first keyboards that I ever built—it required soldering and some tricky assembly, but you won't have to go to any particular trouble with the WhiteFox Eclipse.
