Apple has agreed to a US$250 million class‑action settlement in the US over claims that it misled iPhone buyers about new Siri and Apple Intelligence capabilities on recent models, but not on the latest models.

This case is about how Apple marketed a more personalized Siri experience during WWDC 2024 and the iPhone 16 launch. The plaintiffs claim that this did not arrive when buyers expected it to. Court filings say customers paid premium prices for iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the iPhone 16 lineup because they believed these phones would soon get the heavily advertised AI upgrades.
