Google Raises Play Store App Price Limit to $5K


Top developers must have earned more than $1 million in Play Store revenue over the last 12 months to qualify for this option.

Google has increased the maximum price developers can charge for apps, in-app purchases, and subscriptions on the Play Store to $4,999.99, up from the previous cap of $999.99. This change is now in effect globally, except in South Korea, where the limit remains $400 or the local equivalent, as reported by Android Police.

Google won't be allowing every developer to set such high prices. To have this option, developers must have an active account in good standing, follow all Google Play Developer Program policies, and have earned more than $1 million in Play Store revenue over the last 12 months.
