Bias embedded in identity systems can exclude entire communities from fully participating in the services they rely on. When people can't bring their authentic selves into these systems, organizations fail to realize the full potential of their identity programs.

These gaps underscore why institutions must rethink identity frameworks to make them more inclusive, flexible and better aligned with real-world circumstances.
