When big organisations Run AI + DPDP together: The real recipe for sanity, safety and scale

Artificial intelligence is no longer an exotic experiment in Indian boardrooms. It has become the central nervous system of modern enterprises—powering decision engines, automating workflows, recalibrating customer journeys and creating intelligent ecosystems across automotive, BFSI, telecom, manufacturing and healthcare. India’s largest companies are betting on AI not as a side project but as the core strategy for efficiency, growth and competitiveness.

But there is a parallel force rising with equal intensity: India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act. For the first time, the country has a comprehensive privacy law that defines what data may be collected, how it must be protected, and when it must be deleted. Organisations now find themselves running on a dual track: accelerate AI to stay relevant and implement DPDP to stay compliant.
