Unlocking Data and AI to Digitally Transform Manufacturing

Manufacturers are facing unprecedented challenges - from global tarriff wars to more nimble, lower-cost competitors. Many organizations are looking to digitally transform operations to tap into the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, but they're saddled with decades-old equipment that was not designed to easily share data with other systems.

Manufacturers typically need to connect 40 to 50 siloed applications to become a truly data-driven enterprise, said James Van Pelt, manufacturing practice lead at Stibo Systems, but AI is "only going to be as smart as the data you feed it." But there's hope, he added.
