The Year in Review – the year in Tech for Good

We are at a difficult point in the world’s evolution. From an environmental perspective, the climate crisis is worsening and becoming ever more evident for those with eyes to see.

In fact, it is currently the biggest environmental cause of disease and early mortality. As such, it kills more people each year than AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria combined, according to The Lancet medical journal.

From a social point of view, meanwhile, things are just as tough. Mental ill health is rampant, and those who belong to minority and underserved communities are struggling just as much as they ever were, through everything from systemic bias to lack of inclusion.
