The Pitt season 2 finale will have at least 'one real surprise' in store for fans, confirms star — as Dr. Robby's shift takes a turn for the worse

If I wasn't fizzing with stress every time I sat down to watch an episode, I'd be crying that The Pitt season 2 is drawing to a close. Our favorite ER's chaotic Fourth of July shift has been on our screens since January, but all dreadful things must come to an end.

And dreadful it has been. We've seen patient deaths, the fallout of sexual assaults, a potentially abused child, and a truckload of bodies (alive, don't worry) flooding in after a waterpark incident. For our team of medics, it's all just another day on the job.

With one episode left until the hit HBO Max show's annual hiatus, absolutely anything could happen — especially Dr. Robby's (Noah Wyle) permanent departure after spending most of the last two seasons in inner turmoil.
