Anthropic’s Claude was the only AI of its kind to be approved for use in the most security-sensitive military systems.

The Department of War signed a $200 million dollar contract with the supplier.

That contract contains two clauses that were there when the deal was signed - one banned the use of its tech for mass domestic surveillance, the other insisted it should not be used for autonomous weapons, with no human in the loop.
