Samsung’s Now Bar Will Support Third-Party Apps in Upcoming One UI 8 Update


The update can give users access to live information from apps such as delivery tracking, weather, and boarding passes.

Samsung has announced that its Now Bar will soon support third-party apps. This was shared during Samsung’s recent Unpacked event, where the company revealed the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, Z Flip 7 FE, and Watch 8 series. All of these new devices run on One UI 8, which brings a new iteration of the Now Bar made to work with apps beyond Samsung’s own ecosystem.

Until now, Now Bar has been limited to Samsung’s apps and a couple of Google products. Samsung says the Now Bar is “now integrated with more third-party apps,” although the company has not yet published a complete list of which apps will be included.
