Nvidia Debuts Next-Generation Vera Rubin AI Platform at CES 2026


Despite claiming it wouldn't show off any new GPUs at CES this year, Nvidia did have one to debut: Vera Rubin. This next-generation, AI-first GPU stack combines a Vera CPU with a Rubin GPU, an NVLink 6 switch, and several other chips to create a new server stack that will offer performance up to five times that of Blackwell, if Nvidia's numbers are to be believed.

Nvidia has made a habit of kicking off each year with new gaming GPUs at CES. In fact, this is the first time in the past half-decade that it hasn't kicked off a new year with new graphics cards for gamers. In 2026, though, as gaming becomes a mere footnote to Nvidia's data center earnings, it's putting its green foot forward with Vera Rubin, a platform exclusively for data centers and AI acceleration.
