Nintendo Wants Less 'eSlop' on the Switch 2 eShop
extremetech.comNintendo is reportedly taking a stricter approach to game approvals on the Switch 2 in an effort to avoid a repeat of the original Switch eShop's "eSlop" reputation. The original Switch eShop filled up with very low‑effort games, asset flips, and ultra‑cheap shovelware that buried better indie titles and made browsing messy over time.
In a recent interview with RPG Site, New Blood Interactive CEO Dave Oshry said Nintendo is "still pretty cagey" about which games can launch on the new system, even for studios that already have titles on the first Switch.
