MSI Shows Off 1,600W RTX 5090 With Huge LCD, Custom-AIO Cooling
extremetech.comMSI has blown the doors off CES with a custom version of the RTX 5090 graphics card that could well be the fastest consumer GPU ever made. Co-designed with Nvidia, this card leverages two of Nvidia's maligned 12V-2x6 connectors for up to 1,600 watts of power—more than double the standard 5090. It uses all that power to deliver sky-high clock speeds, and some overclockers have already pushed it close to 4GHz on the core, according to WCCFTech.
The RTX 5090 has been the fastest GPU in the world since it debuted last year at CES 2025, but even its 600W power limit and incredible quantities of CUDA cores and GDDR7 memory weren't enough for some board partners.
