Microsoft Is Bringing Image Support to Notepad on Windows 11

Early UI previews tested by Windows Insiders include a new image icon in the toolbar, as well as references to the added functionality within the app's "What's new" section. In a statement sent to Windows Latest, Microsoft confirmed image support is being tested, adding that images don't appear to affect Notepad performance. Still, the tech giant plans to introduce a toggle that lets users preserve Notepad's classic plaintext experience if they prefer.
The updated Notepad will reportedly let users insert and view images inline alongside text.
