Meta to Raise US Quest 3 and 3S Prices, Thanks to Memory Crisis


This Sunday, April 19, Meta will raise prices on Quest 3 and 3S virtual reality headsets sold in the United States. As with everything else these days, these hikes are largely the product of increasing component costs—especially the memory shortage driven by hungry AI data centers.

Meta says the global surge in RAM prices has made it more expensive to build high‑performance standalone headsets and that it can no longer absorb these increases, Reuters reported Thursday.

In the US, the 128GB Quest 3S will go from $299.99 to $349.99, while the 256GB model will go from $399.99 to $449.99. The flagship Quest 3 with 512GB storage will see the biggest jump, rising from $499.99 to an eye-popping $599.99.
