Many organizations put off identity security because it feels too complex. That hesitation, said Praerit Garg, CEO, One Identity, is leaving them more exposed as non-human and artificial intelligence-driven identities continue to grow.

Garg said enterprises often freeze when they view identity as an all-or-nothing problem. Progress, he argued, comes from starting small and building momentum through early wins in identity governance and life cycle management. Doing nothing only helps complexity increase.

"If you're not managing the life cycle of identities in your environment, that's job number one. It's also becoming like a regulatory requirement," he said. "And job number two is privileged access."
