Internal iOS 26 Build Offers Clues to Next Gen Apple Hardware Features

When Macworld looked under the hood of a leaked internal build of iOS 26, it found indications of an as-yet-unreleased version of the Apple AirTag. An upcoming HomePod Mini refresh also seems to be in the works, possibly bringing newer hardware to the aging smart speaker.
Of the two devices, the AirTag appears to be getting the bigger update. Macworld found a few features, including improved precision when you are looking for your AirTag. That's probably the most essential feature update, considering that the AirTag's purpose is to help you locate your stuff.
