Bravo’s long-running cooking competition show, Top Chef, is back for a 23rd season with Top Chef: Carolinas, taking the culinary battle to the American South.

This season, the chefs will head to the culinary hub of Charlotte, North Carolina, with several episodes also shot in Greenville, South Carolina. This means there’ll be plenty of Carolina ingredient-focused challenges, Southern cuisine inspirations, and several outdoor and agriculture-based tasks.

Fifteen “cheftestants” will compete through various Quickfire challenges, immunities, and eliminations for a $250,000 grand prize, a feature in Food & Wine magazine, and other cash prizes totaling more than $150,000. The winner will also get the opportunity to appear at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, host a headlining dinner at the James Beard House, and present at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards.

Also, for the first time ever, this year’s lineup includes a pair of identical twins (Brandon Dearden and Jonathan Dearden) and life partners (Jennifer Lee Jackson and Justin Tootla) competing against each other.
