Google Expands Gemini AI to Cars With Built-In Android and Smart Driving Features

Google is officially retiring the rigid voice commands of the past. The tech giant is rolling out Gemini to vehicles with Google built-in, transforming the dashboard from a basic utility into a conversational AI hub. Earlier this year, Google announced a major overhaul to Google Maps, bringing major AI updates and immersive visuals to the app.

The update is hitting the road first for GM owners, targeting eligible 2022 and newer Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC models in the U.S. via an over-the-air software update.
