GE Aerospace appoints Shilpa Gupta as CTO for India, reinforcing Bengaluru’s role in the future of flight

GE Aerospace has appointed Shilpa Gupta as Chief Technology Officer, India, and Site Leader of the John F. Welch Technology Centre (JFWTC) in Bengaluru, underscoring the company’s continued commitment to India as a critical hub for aerospace innovation.

In her new role, Shilpa will lead GE Aerospace’s engineering, research and digital technology teams in Bengaluru, focusing on accelerating innovation, scaling advanced technologies and strengthening regional impact. Her mandate aligns closely with GE Aerospace’s purpose of inventing the future of flight—lifting people up and bringing them home safely.

Shilpa joins GE Aerospace from GE Vernova, where she led the Gas Power engineering teams across Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Noida, and also served as JFWTC Site Leader for GE Vernova.
