Framework Raises Desktop PC Prices as RAM Shortage Intensifies

In a December blog post that he updated on Monday, CEO Nirav Patel wrote that the company "held off on it as long as we could, but with LPDDR5x memory prices from our suppliers continuing to increase rapidly, we've had to update the pricing."
The base configuration with a Ryzen AI Max 385 and 32GB of RAM now costs $1,139, up from $1,099. The top-tier model with 128GB of RAM jumped to $2,459 from $1,999—an eye-watering $460 increase.
