Foxconn Plans Humanoid Robots for Texas AI Server Factory


Foxconn appears ready to make good on its plan to bring humanoid robots to its AI server plant in Houston. Foxconn, which is based in Taiwan, is a major tech producer for Apple, Nvidia, and other industry heavyweights. According to Nikkei Asia, Foxconn's chairman and CEO, Young Liu, says its US factory will have humanoid robot workers in roughly six months.

Unsurprisingly, the robots, which will be building AI servers at the Houston factory, will also be AI-powered. A recent Reuters report noted that Foxconn and Nvidia have been discussing plans to use Nvidia's Isaac Groot N1 robot, but because the companies haven't provided much information about which (and how many types of) robots the factory will house, it's unclear whether the first humanoid robots to start working there will be from Nvidia.
