A for-profit university with campuses in New York and the Caribbean is notifying nearly 321,000 individuals of a December 2024 data theft incident that compromised their personal and health information.

In a breach report filed to state regulators on Tuesday, Monroe University said its most recent "external system breach" affected 320,973 individuals and involved unauthorized access to the school's IT systems for nearly two weeks in December 2024.
