Extreme Overclocking Scene Heats Up With 2,000W RTX 5090 BIOS Leak


A new 2,000W BIOS for the Nvidia RTX 5090 has leaked, in what must be a real gift for extreme overclockers hoping to push the boundaries of what's possible with a top-tier graphics card. In the absence of Nvidia launching any new consumer products (possibly for at least another year), these kinds of extreme OCs might be the only way we see new performance levels for the foreseeable future.

Unveiled by X leaker @slovak_killer, the BIOS is labelled ASTRAL RTX 5090 2000W XOC V2, so it is presumably designed originally for the Asus ROG Astral RTX 5090—a high-end version of an already high-end card. This is the second time we've seen a big Astral BIOS leak. The first one was for the China-only RTX 5090D, but this time it seems to be for the standard version. That should improve compatibility and allow more RTX 5090 owners ...
