Lead story - Employee surveillance tools - is there such as thing as best practices?

This is a tricky one. I try to remain fair to tech that is outside what I would personally ever implement. When it comes to employee surveillance, aside from high security workplaces, it's a different story.

Where the KPIs based on results/outcomes? Or are we going to hound people into stressed out submission, looking over their shoulder at AI while knowing their human boss has systems that count their keystrokes, as the data from those systems funnels into AI workplace optimization tools? I see work differently. If you exceed fair targets, I don't care if you spend half your day on a trampoline in your boxer shorts.
