DISA Chooses HPE GreenLake for Unified Cloud Prototype

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced the Defense Information Systems Agency (News - Alert) (DISA), a combat support agency of the United States Department of Defense (DoD) has awarded the company a prototype Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreement for the Distributed Hybrid Multi-Cloud (DHMC) prototype.

Under the agreement, HPE will leverage its GreenLake platform to develop the DHMC prototype. The goal is to streamline DISA's management of its diverse IT infrastructure and resources across public and private clouds, creating a unified hybrid, multi-cloud platform.

The prototype OTA will aim to revitalize DISA's infrastructure by integrating isolated and independent environments within its J9 Hosting and Compute division and turning it into a modernized DHMC infrastructure and services offering. As a result, they will see a reduction in IT footprint, costs, and management complexity.
