Digital careers report - software firms tackle talent crunch through collaborative resource sharing

As a member of the C-suite, a digital leader is judged on outcomes, managing a budget and therefore managing resources. Whatever business line you run, the most important and sometimes tricky resource to manage is talent. This evergreen challenge led one CTO turned tech CEO to look to the cloud. Not so much the technology as the way the cloud allows an organization to increase consumption or lower it, according to demand.

Our network of digital leaders tells us talent management is a challenge. Over half (55.6%) have a bench of technology engineers, and 77% of them need to flex that bench up and down. When they need more talent, 88% tell us they struggle to understand the technical abilities of talent that is not on their existing bench, and 66% struggle to find the talent they need.
