I feel like I open every piece I write about Landman with the same line, but poor Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton). The man can never catch a break – whether that's working in the soul-sucking oil business at M-Tex or thanks to his dysfunctional and erratic family.

Now Landman season 3 has been confirmed, that's surely only going to get even worse.

We're only four episodes into Landman season 2, and Tommy's had enough drama to cover most people for a lifetime. His mom has died, he's reunited with his distant dad TJ (Sam Elliot), hosted a chaotic funeral, had to bail his wife Angela (Ali Larter) and daughter Ainsley (Michelle Randolph) out of jail, and uncovered millions of dollars in debt that boss Cami (Demi Moore) is now left with.
