Back to the negotiating table? Might there be peace in our time between Anthropic and Trump 2.0 or has the war of words gone too far?

Having already attacked the “left-wing nut jobs” at the company, Donald Trump wasn’t holding back on his view about AI provider Anthropic on Thursday.

The comment from the US President came shortly after Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei told the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference that the firm had more in common with the Department of War than differences, despite being canned from its $200 million contract last week due to insisting on ethical red lines around the use of its tech remained intact.

It also comes as reports circulate that Anthropic and the Department have re-opened negotiations to reach a compromise, despite the former now being barred by Trump 2.0 from any form of Federal Government work.
