Axos Bank’s Kevin Hearn simplifies, trains and embraces AI

The fourth of July is a national celebration of independence and was chosen in 2000 as the day to launch an online bank in the US, of which SVP for Consumer Bank Development at Axos Bank, Kevin Hearn, says:

We established freedom from the conventional brick-and-mortar bank. Whereas other banks don’t open on this day, we opened with intent.

Hearn has been with the bank since 2020 and has led a major rationalization and modernization of its technology estate. All of which is preparing the bank for the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in banking.

Initially called the Bank of the Internet, Axos Bank is now 25 years old and provides personal and commercial banking, alongside investment, clearing and advisory financial services.
