Astronaut Mike Fincke Says It Was His Medical Issue That Brought Crew-11 Home Early

NASA astronaut Mike Fincke has outed himself as the reason for Crew-11's fast-tracked return from the International Space Station for an undisclosed medical situation, CNN reports. Although he didn't go into detail about what the problem was, it sounds serious enough that it required his fellow crew to help stabilize him before NASA ultimately made the call to bring him home for further imaging and care.

Speculation has been rampant about the particular medical reason behind NASA bringing one of its ISS crews home several weeks early. Everything from cardiovascular issues to brain fluid changes has been suggested. Although we have yet to hear what may have been the ultimate cause of the return, we can at least rule out pregnancy with Mr. Fincke.
