Apple Quietly Drops M3 Ultra Mac Studio's 512GB RAM Option

Apple has dropped the 512GB RAM variant of its M3 Ultra Mac Studio, capping the device's memory at 256GB. Though the brand didn't say why it abandoned the 512GB model, the decision is thought to be linked to the global memory shortage triggered by AI data centers' growing consumption.

Some documentation and third‑party spec listings still mention a 512GB option, but Apple's own online storefront no longer lets customers configure it, MacRumors noticed late last week.
