Android 17 Expected to Introduce Blur-Heavy UI Reminiscent of Apple’s Liquid Glass

Images of internal builds reviewed by 9to5Google reveal that semi-transparent and frosted-glass-style overlays will replace solid backgrounds on volume sliders, power menus, and system controls.
The updates build on the groundwork set with Android 16 QPR1, which was the first version to add blur effects to the notification and Quick Settings panels. The blur tints dynamically based on each user's color theme for consistency, according to NotebookCheck.
