AMD RDNA5 May Be for Premium Chips Only, RDNA3.5 to Remain Mainstream iGPU Through 2029
extremetech.comA new rumor suggests that AMD may restrict its next-generation RDNA5 graphics architecture to its premium integrated graphics platforms and dedicated graphics cards. For more affordable AMD CPUs and SoCs, it will continue to use the existing RDNA3.5 architecture found in many Ryzen AI 300 and Ryzen AI 400 chips, VideoCardz reports.
With AMD's next-generation RDNA5 GPUs, colloquially known as RX 10000, not expected until after Nvidia launches its next-gen graphics cards in 2027, AMD is spending most of 2026 refreshing its existing lineups—at least on the mobile front. But new Ryzen AI Max 400 Gorgon Point and Gorgon Halo chips still offer RDNA3.5 onboard GPUs, the same as the last generation.
