Google found that threat actors have moved beyond experimenting with artificial intelligence and are now operationalizing it across exploit development, malware creation and intrusion, said John Hultquist, chief analyst at Google Threat Intelligence Group.

Google's AI Threat Tracker report details a suspected AI-assisted zero-day exploit tied to a planned mass exploitation campaign, along with autonomous malware behavior, AI-driven exploit validation and attacks targeting AI wrappers, connectors and software dependencies. Researchers also observed nation-state actors using AI to validate thousands of exploits and refine offensive operations at scale.
