Artificial intelligence is transforming how organizations approach cybersecurity. But this transformation requires careful execution, especially in mission-critical sectors such as healthcare, said Bill Chen, CISO at clinical diagnostics company Natera.
"AI right now has tremendous opportunity to just reshape this whole landscape," Chen said. However, organizations must balance innovation with reliability, particularly when securing medical devices and patient data. "We definitely do not want these fancy words and excitement of innovation get in the way of our business goals," Chen said, advocating for a crawl-walk-run approach to AI adoption.
AI is also proving to be a valuable tool in security awareness training, Chen said, with automated content generation enabling the production of customized training materials based on specific vulnerabilities.
