Artificial intelligence adoption is accelerating. That also means AI-driven threats are becoming more prevalent and easier for less-skilled threat actors to deploy. That combination is forcing organizations to rethink how they prepare cyber professionals, said Casey Marks, COO at ISC2.

"We do believe that, moving forward, there are opportunities to be able to deal with threats in a more systemic and automated way, and that's a hope, to be able to address some of the security issues," Marks said.
Roles tied to high-velocity operations will benefit the most - security operations, network monitoring, vulnerability management and security testing. AI won't replace these roles, but it will become embedded across them, he said.
