Agentic AI is pushing identity security into a new phase where authorization matters more than authentication, said John Pritchard, CEO of Radiant Logic. As artificial intelligence agents gain the ability to self-organize and execute tasks, organizations face rising risk tied to what those non-human identities can access.

"If we look at agentic or non-human identities, or even the classic things you've been trying to deal with … it's largely around authorization," Pritchard said. "Authorization is still a very challenging situation, and we have all these different decision-making policy engines that participate in that, and everything they're looking at is a piece of data."
