diginomica.comConference sessions on ethics around AI are very common these days. That’s not a criticism - the more such sessions there are, the more debate there is around the topic, the more chance - surely? - we might have of something concrete emerging to the greater good.
I recently attended just such a panel discussion at the Evolve conference in Brighton on the UK’s south coast. It’s not the usual location for such events - although really more vendors and conference organizers ought to be thinking about it as an option for European events - and in practice the session didn’t run entirely as I’d anticipated.
What follows is the first of two reports based on that session, each focusing on the viewpoints and comments of an individual speaker. The second looks at copyright and creativity. The first….well, judge for yourself.
