Workato's new AI Research Lab offers enterprises an escape route from AI pilot purgatory

At Workato’s recent WOW event in Las Vegas, the big splash focused on its Agentic Enterprise narrative — along with a slew of product announcements the integration and workflow automation vendor claims will help customers get there. But there was also a less noticed release buried under the torrent of product updates — and one which, in my opinion, may end up being the most consequential of all.

Built on the company’s recent acquisition of fronter research lab, xmad.ai, Workato’s new AI Research Lab in San Francisco aims to bring leading edge researchers, its own product experts and enterprise customers together in one physical space in order to attack the systemic barriers organizations face when working with agentic technology.
