With some welcome downtime on the horizon, here are the TechRadar Gaming team’s Christmas games for 2025

The concept of a ‘Christmas game’ is one I’ve enjoyed since my teenage years. A game that you’ve reserved for the Christmas holidays, to fully dive into during the downtime that you (hopefully) get. Maybe you’re enjoying it in front of the fire with some delicious food and drink while it’s cold and miserable outside (in the Northern Hemisphere, at least).

It doesn’t necessarily have to be a festive-themed game in itself - though choosing a game filled with snowy landscapes would only enhance the experience, I think - but something you’ve been waiting to sink into without distraction for a week or two.
