Windows 11 24H2 Is Rolling Out Now, but Only for Copilot+ PCs


Microsoft is letting its new Copilot+ PCs lead the highly anticipated Windows 11 24H2 rollout. Although the AI-optimized laptops will ship with Microsoft's revamped operating system, PC users outside of the Windows Insiders program must wait a while longer.

The 24H2 rollout comes after a curious pause earlier this month, in which Microsoft pulled the OS beta from its Windows Insiders release preview channel. The company didn't provide a reason for the freeze; it merely noted that it would "resume the rollout in the coming weeks." Microsoft has returned some of its attention to the release preview channel, but it's also pivoting toward the Copilot+ PC line.
