UiPath Fusion 25 – how Wesco scaled enterprise automation with AI orchestration and bottom-up design


Most enterprise automation programs start with executive mandates and cascade downward. Wesco Distribution flipped that model. Over six years, its Intelligent Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) has scaled to hundreds of deployments by doing something deceptively simple: asking employees what they hate doing, then automating exactly that.

The aim is to ge lt as much bottom-up pipeline as possible, says Max Ioffe, Director of Global Intelligent Automation CoE at Wesco Distribution. He explains:

We want employees to come to us and say, 'I don't enjoy going into supplier websites and jotting down dates,' or 'I don't enjoy printing a document and sticking it into another system. Can you help me with that?'
