The Raspberry Pi 500+ Is a $200 Pi-Powered Mechanical Keyboard


Raspberry Pi has revealed the Pi 500+, an upgraded version of its keyboard PC that builds on the foundation of last year's Pi 500. The new model is made for people who use the Raspberry Pi as their primary computer rather than just a hobby device, but it has a starting price of $200, double that of the Pi 500.

The biggest update is in the memory, storage, and keyboard. The Pi 500+ comes with 16GB of RAM, compared to the 8GB in the Pi 500, and replaces the older microSD-only storage setup with a 256GB NVMe SSD. The drive fits in an M.2 2280 slot, and you can replace it with a larger capacity option if needed.
