Sandisk Spotlights microSD Card for Asus ROG Xbox Ally Gaming Handhelds

New Asus gaming handhelds arrive later this month, and Sandisk is ready with an Xbox-branded microSD card just for the occasion. The memory maker said in a statement that its new card is "engineered specifically for the ROG Xbox Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally so gamers can easily play with full Xbox integration," though the handhelds will also support other microSD cards. On top of that, Sandisk has an NVMe SSD for the Xbox Ally devices in the works.

Asus will make the ROG Xbox Ally handhelds available for purchase on Oct. 16, and preorders are ongoing. With that in mind, Sandisk also opened up preorders for its microSD card and will have those ready to ship on Oct. 16, too. It won't have the NVMe SSD ready for the Asus launch, but Sandisk says that will surface in the coming months.
