ROG Xbox Ally X Priced at $999, Launching Oct. 16

Microsoft and Asus have released official pricing for the upcoming Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X handheld gaming systems, and they aren't cheap. The more modest version, the standard Ally, will start at $599 in the US, €599 in the EU, and £499 in the UK. That's more expensive than any Steam Deck version already, but the more capable ROG Ally X, with its Ryzen Z2 Extreme CPU and faster memory, will cost a whopping $999.

Handheld gaming has been one of the fastest-growing industries in PC gaming over the past few years, and there are many contenders.
