Perplexity’s New AI Web Browser Coming Soon to Windows Users


Perplexity is planning to open its AI-powered Comet browser to Windows users, according to CEO Aravind Srinivas. Srinivas posted on X that the Windows version of Comet is ready, and invites have already been sent to early testers. The company is also working on an Android version, saying progress is ahead of schedule.

Comet was first launched in May as a beta for Mac users with Apple Silicon. The browser adds AI tools directly into web browsing. Comet is said to be able to answer questions, check shopping carts for discounts, and find unread emails. It also has a "Try on" tool that lets users upload a photo and see themselves in selected clothing, similar to what Google unveiled recently.
