Oracle certainly can’t be accused of going quietly into its annual conference gathering in Las Vegas next month - and we’re not talking about the TikTok rumors that have dominated the headlines over the past few days.

Coming hot on the heels of that blowout financial quarter and CEO Safra Catz’s upgrading of expectations for its cloud infrastructure business to $500 billion on the back of the signing four multi-billion dollar contracts with three unnamed customers, including one set to pull in $30 billion+ per annum, Catz has now taken everyone by surprise by announcing that she’s stepping aside from the top slot in favor of splitting the role again.
