Nvidia to Announce DLSS 4.5 With Dynamic 6x Frame Generation

The brand is set to announce the next generation of its DLSS upscaling solution, featuring even more AI-generated frames, at this year's CES. The new version will use a "2nd-generation transformer" model, which Nvidia claims is trained on a larger dataset, ideally reducing ghosting and improving anti-aliasing, VideoCardz reports. It's also announcing a new dynamic 6x frame generation feature that can increase the frame rate to match (or get close to matching) a monitor's refresh rate.
When Nvidia debuted frame generation with the RTX 40-series, it was an intriguing addition to its AI toolkit for gamers, enabling frame rates to rise from the high double digits into the low triple digits for slightly smoother gameplay.
