One of the longer-running jokes on the internet is about how big and hot Nvidia's GPUs have become, but that's a misnomer. The company kept power consumption largely unchanged from Ampere to Ada Lovelace (although GPU size increased). But it's reportedly set to crank things up to 11 with Blackwell GeForce by raising power consumption across the board.
